PROGRAM INFORMATION
The Food for Thought Backpack Program ensures no child goes hungry in the East Lynne School District. Each Friday, qualifying students will go home with a backpack of food for the weekend.
This is a free program serving children ages 12 and under. The program is designed to promote healthy eating habits, while teaching children how to select different types of healthy food. The backpack will contain 2 days of healthy, child-friendly food in a backpack to take home. The program is dependent on donations by individual citizens and employees of East Lynne School.
HOW YOU CAN HELP?
Donations of food or hygiene items can be dropped off at East Lynne School. If you would like to make a money donation make checks payable to East Lynne School and write "Food For Thought" on memo line of your check. Each backpack will contain enough food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner for 2 days.
