The beginning of a New Year is time to reflect on the past and look forward to the future. We have been welcomed back to school in 2012 with beautiful January weather! The students have started the second half of their academic year with new classroom schedules and courses. Our fifth and sixth grade students have started their winter basketball schedule with girls practicing every Tuesday and Thursday from 3:45-5:30pm, while the boys will practice each Monday and Wednesday from 3:15-6:00pm. Our second session of STAR launches January 9, as students will be working diligently to prepare for spring assessment tests. The Outdoor Kids Klub will meet on January 19 from 3:15 to 4:00pm, parents please make note of the new OKK winter dismissal time and be reminded to check our web-site calendar frequently for the latest up-to-date student activities and event schedules. We will not be in session on Monday, January 16 to observe Martin Luther King Jr. Day, and be reminded that we will have early dismissal on Wednesday, January 18 for staff collaboration.
