One of the new features in our cafeteria is our hydration station where students can get water to drink with their meal. They have even been able to try water infused with fresh fruit.

This year we are partnering with OPAA food services for our breakfast and lunch.
We are excited to welcome Ashley Coakley (left) as our cafeteria manager. Brenda Moreland (right) has also been helping out part time.
The fruit and veggie bar has been a highlight for our students as well as the two daily choices they are offered each day!

Over the summer, we switched our Innovation/STEAM Lab and Community Room spaces to better serve our students and staff. The STEAM Lab is now in a larger space with direct access to the gardens —perfect for hands-on learning and innovation with Mrs. Schroeder, teaching K–8. The Community Room has been repurposed into a flexible classroom and project space, complete with a kitchen. It’s a great spot for student projects, staff meetings, and collaborative work. Special thanks to: ✅Mills Plumbing and Contracting for hooking us up and making us kitchen official! ✅Community member, Patrick Bertholf for donating the cabinets. ✅Mrs. Schroeder & the summer garden club for keeping the garden going ✅Mr. Steve and Mr. Vaught for bringing this project to completion! These updates reflect our commitment to creating spaces that inspire learning, creativity, and community

We were excited to kick off our school year partnering with Cultivate Coffee and Health Bar. Their espresso cart was a nice way to ease into the new school year.

We will take the next two weeks (10 DAYS) to give some important BACK TO SCHOOL reminders!
STARTING off today's COUNTDOWN -- SCHOOL SUPPLIES!
Thank you to our PARENT GROUP for giving back to our learning community and helping alleviate many of the yearly back to school supplies. If you still need help with other supplies, need a backpack, or ANYTHING-- LET. US. KNOW! We want to come alongside anyone needing assistance.

Working on many of the Project K.I.D.S and Parent Booster supported projects this summer has kept things BUSY for East Lynne 40!
1. One of the most noticeable improvements is the nearly completed gravel parking lot, which will add 50 much-needed spaces and ease congestion during busy events.
2. We also repaired and resurfaced the main parking lot, giving it a fresh, durable new surface.
3. To support access to the building from the new gravel lot, we’ve poured a new sidewalk that connects the back parking lots directly to the Fine Arts entrance.
4/5. Work is also underway on our playground area, where we’re adding a GaGa Ball pit and a volleyball net—both of which will offer new recreational opportunities for students. In addition, the gravel layout in that area has been reconfigured to better support traffic flow and safety. We are so close to completing Project Playground! Thank you to our community for your continued support to make Project Playground a reality!
6. Inside the building, we began upgrades to our HVAC systems. Two of the larger units have been replaced, and we’ve added air conditioning to the Fine Arts hallway to improve comfort in that part of the building. The rest of the HVAC renovations will take place during the 25-26 school year.
We have also updated the front landscaping which also addressed some drainage issues we were having.
We will be posting some photos when the all of the projects are completed so we can recognize everyone we partnered with to see these projects to completion!

Reminder: Summer Garden Club tonight from 7-8. We will be harvesting our potato bed and planting some new things. Hope to see everyone there!

Hello Parents!
Families eligible by household income or directly certified to receive free or reduced price meals through the National School Lunch Program, are eligible for a Summer Electronics Benefits, Transfer (EBT). This summer benefit provides the student a $120 grocery benefit to purchase nutritious food over the summer months. If your student currently received free or reduced price meals this school year his/her information has been submitted to receive the benefit. Families who are not eligible for free and reduced price meals during the 2024-2025 school year, they use the Missouri SuN Bucks Eligibility Navigator at https://mydss.mo.gov/sunbucks-eligibility to see if they are eligible for an application.

Come join our team.

Her consistency, care, and unwavering dedication have nourished not only our students’ bodies but also their spirits. She has been a stable anchor in our learning community, guiding us with kindness and purpose.
Cyndi, soon you set sail on this next chapter called retirement, please know that your impact will remain a cherished part of our story. It was so fun to celebrate you on Friday.
