Congratulations to our staff and students of the month for November and December!

Some of our 5th graders were able to present their inventions tonight at our January board meeting. Each year our 5th graders participate in an Inventor's Fair. The top winners are then invited to share their inventions at one of our board meetings. Congratulations to finalists Laney Johnson, Zayden Mills, and Elliot Weidemann! Congratulations to Eli Carnes for being voted as the top inventor for our Shark Tank, People's Choice and Teacher Choice awards. Special thank you to Mrs. Schroeder for organizing the inventor's fair.

Thank you to Corporal Ewing from the Missouri State Highway Patrol for spending time with our 8th grade physics class today! He spoke with our scientists about how his job relates to Newton’s Laws of Motion and the importance of seat belt usage.  Corporal Ewing, we are grateful that you are a part of our Learning Community!

Cougar Hat Fridays!
Your child can wear a hat each Friday for $1 per day. We only have 17 Fridays left in the school year.

There are two ways to pay. Save money by paying in advance. Pay only $15 for all 17 Fridays, or bring $1 on any Friday your child wants to wear a hat.

This is a STUCO fundraiser, and all proceeds will go to the East Lynne Scholarship Fund.

The School Board Candidate Filing ended on December 30, 2025. There were three positions with three-year terms available. The following individuals filed for candidacy: Incumbent Susan Vaught Molly Brackeen Cory Yoder In accordance with Missouri law, because the number of candidates who filed is equal to the number of positions available, there is no need to hold an election. Candidates will be sworn in at the School Board Meeting on April 14, 2026.

Happy New Year!

We were so blessed today by the generosity of Stagstone Risk Management, LLC, a local business that went above and beyond to support our school community. Through their kindness, lunch balances were paid off for 19 families (32 students!), and additional gift cards were donated to share as well. During this holiday season, we are especially grateful for such compassion and generosity, and for community partners who remind us that kindness truly makes a difference.

Shout out to our learning community for showing up today to cover classes so our teachers could enjoy the Cultivate Coffee Cart! We’re officially running on caffeine, determination, and whatever is left in the tank—these volunteers helped us hang tight and reminded us: caffeine counts as self-care when we are this close to Christmas break.

This group—and a few not pictured—took part in our wellness challenge to “walk” all the way to the North Pole! Not only did we reach the North Pole, but with the miles we’ve logged, we’re already well on our way back home. Well done, everyone!

Tomorrow is your last chance to purchase items from our Cougar Cantine. The Cougar Cantine is a student run store selling all kinds of items ranging from $.25 - $4.00. The funds raised from this store will go towards the chicken coop we purchased for STEAM
