This weekend marked our first-ever musical production at East Lynne 40 — "Creepy Creeps of Pilgrim Road!" What a fantastic performance by our talented students.
Our performing arts program has grown so much over the past few years, and it was such a delight to see the hard work and dedication that went into bringing this show to life.
A huge thank you to our Music Director, Mrs. Schork, for continuing to provide meaningful opportunities for our students, and to her Co-Director Mrs. Johnson for helping make this production possible.
From rehearsals to the final curtain, our students showed courage, commitment, and creativity on stage. We are incredibly proud of them and grateful for the adults who helped guide them along the way. Big thank you to the many corporate sponsors who help make this kind of event possible.

At East Lynne 40 School District we value students recognizing and celebrating each other’s hard work and achievement! Our Middle School students (most of whom are themselves DARE graduates) came together this afternoon to celebrate the graduation of 5th grade from the DARE program! Kali Collins was chosen as the DARE Essay winner. Thank you to Sergeant Drake from the Cass County Sheriff’s Office for being an important part of our Learning Community!

Walking into school looked a little different for our 3rd and 4th graders today! Instead of regular classrooms, students stepped into fully transformed learning spaces as part of their fractions unit celebration.
Our 4th graders arrived to find their classroom turned into a donut shop, where math met real-world problem solving. This made the end of their fraction unit feel deliciously fun.
Meanwhile, 3rd grade walked into a full crime scene investigation! Students became math detectives, using skills to analyze clues, solve problems, and piece together the mystery. Every answer brought them closer to cracking the case.
Celebrating the end of a unit is always exciting when learning is hands-on, imaginative, and connected to an experience, students don’t just complete a unit — they remember it.
Shout out to Mrs. Crusha and Mrs. Wright for making these end of unit studies memorable and FUN!
Third grader, Luci Schrock, is working hard to finish her sketch for the annual art show.
When students are finished with their art work they also create an artist statement.This process helps them put their thinking into words — explaining their choices, ideas, and the meaning behind what they created.
Writing about art strengthens vocabulary, reflection skills, and the ability to communicate ideas clearly. It’s powerful to see students not only create… but explain the story behind their work!

We love celebrating our students’ academic achievement-Middle School Honor Roll Breakfast Club has those pancakes-a-flying! Off the spatulas, through the air and onto their plates!

Mrs. Holden, our school counselor is a safe place, a calm voice for our staff and students. She helps students navigate big feelings, tough friendships, hard days, and important decisions. She listens without judgment, encourages without limits, and reminds our kids they are seen, valued, and capable. She supports teachers, partners with parents, and helps create a school where every child can belong and grow.
