These second graders came to read their nonfiction writing that included a glossary!
Mrs. Vaughn: Why did you include a glossary?
Student: It helps you understand what you're reading. It has words that are, you know, important to the story that maybe everyone might not know!
Thanks Cooper, Lucy, Jacqueline and Lyric for sharing your research !

(Part 2)
5th grade had an Inventor Fair where students were able to come and see their inventions and listen to their presentation pitches. Their pitches were fast and snappy presentations. They presented to students as investors. They created a drawing and/or 3D model of their inventions. The inventions tackle specific problems they brainstormed, researched and applied their creativity and prior knowledge to solve. They're really excited about them and did a fantastic job with their pitches!
