Math is more fun when you can see it, build it, and play it! Miss Howser had our 5th graders put their understanding of powers of 10 into action with a hands-on game that had them thinking, calculating, and working together.
Activities like this turn big math concepts into meaningful learning—and add a little friendly competition along the way! 🎲🔴🟡

Your student should have come home with SCHOOL STORE information. https://www.schoolstore.net/cgi/SchoolResult?mode=init. It runs through September 15, 2026
SchoolStore.net is an online school fundraising program operated by Reading For Education, LLC. Schools use it to raise money for classrooms and school needs without students having to sell products door-to-door.
The basic idea is that students/families register and send invitations to family and friends. Supporters can then help in several ways: shop through participating retailers, purchase products through the Family Book Store, or make a classroom-directed contribution through Caring for Classrooms. The school or classroom receives a portion of eligible purchases/contributions.
There is also a student prize component. Students can receive a small reading buddy stuffed animal simply for registering/sending invitations, and they can earn additional prizes based on purchases or classroom contributions associated with them.

We were recently able to put up our volleyball net. It has been a popular addition to our playground.
Thanks, Mr. Steve and Mr. Vaught for setting that up for us!

We love seeing where life takes our East Lynne 40 alumni—and celebrating the incredible things they go on to accomplish!
We are especially proud to celebrate Paige Zieman, one of our former Cougars who has become a Physician Associate!
Moments like this remind us why our mission matters. Our goal has always been bigger than preparing students for the next grade level and to go to high school. We want to provide a safe, supportive environment with high expectations where ALL students can excel, become lifelong learners, and leave us ready to pursue whatever comes next.
The years our students spend at East Lynne are just the beginning of their story. Seeing an alum step into a career dedicated to learning, serving, and caring for others is a pretty special reminder of what education is all about.
We are proud of you, Paige, and we are proud that a little piece of your story began right here. ❤️🐾

Today at our staff meeting our new staff members had to introduce themselves... with a twist. We rolled the big green die to determine how they introduced themselves!
Can you tell what number they rolled?
Welcome Mrs. Alisha Doe, Ms. Adalain Howser and Mr. Mitchell McNeal!

Due to the Excessive Heat Warning in effect through Friday, we will be canceling Garden Club and will not be rescheduling.
Thank you so much for all of your help in the garden this summer! ❤️ It has been so much fun seeing our families come together to work, grow, and care for our school garden. I truly appreciate everyone who came out and helped make our Summer Garden Club such a success!
